Let me just say that I have purchased over 15 pairs of speakers. No, these aren’t the best speakers I have ever heard, but what I will say is, for the price, and to be outdoor all weather speakers, these are really amazing. When I first hooked them up, I thought that they sounded ok, considering the size and the fact that they have a tweeter that isn’t even an inch. I set them up outside and I was surprised at the sound. I thought they sounded good for the size. The funny thing is, when I checked my receiver, I realized that I hadn’t set the balance, nor did I set the bass and treble. Once I did that, I couldn’t believe my ears. No, they aren’t Cerwin Vegas, JBL, or Yamaha, but neither of those look like a rock and play in the rain. If you are looking for an outdoor speaker…get these…you won’t be disappointed.

Just like many of the reviews posted here, I too was surprised to hear the sound quality coming out of these speakers. My main goal was to just get some sound out to the backyard, loud enough to hear from the general area, and clear enough to not sound like a ham radio. Hooked up to a basic Sony 100-watt home receiver, these speakers seem to use the power efficiently, producing plenty of sound throughout the yard. And with a little EQ tuning on the receiver, I was also surprised to hear the sound quality on all ends (highs, mids, lows) you get from a $60 pair of weather-proof speakers. Very pleased overall!

We got 2 pair of these (4 speakers) that we set up in an outdoor courtyard at work for outdoor company events. They will be used for background music and PA (speech), so they didn’t need to be awesome, just decent. And they are!

In the past we used to have to set up a temporary sound system for each of these company events — and then tear it down. Now we plan to just leave it set up.

Time will tell whether these will withstand the elements.

I first bought a pair for a holiday party to have some background noise. They turned out to have decent sound. People actually commented on them and were surprised on the price I paid. I actually paid less than I would have for someone elses on craigslist used. Great buy for the money and got a second pair for my side yard.

I have 4 of these on my 900 sq foot deck hook to an outdoor amp, streaming from my wireless network. Sound is good and makes having parties more fun.
